Full Title:
The Organizational Enhancement of Coastal Conservation and Education Foundation, Inc.
Overview:
The Coastal Conservation and Education Foundation, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit organization established in 1998 to help improve the conditions of the Philippines' marine environment and promote sustainable use by undertaking technical assistance, education and information campaigns, science-based research in collaboration with the coastal communities and local and national government. After a decade of existence, CCE Foundation is now in the process of identifying and building on its strengths and successes so that it can effectively 'market' the foundation to continue to fill and expand its niche of work. Thus, the organizational effectiveness project was proposed in order to improve CCEF's organizational effectiveness including its governance style, management capacity, human resources, financial resources, service delivery, external relations and overall sustainability.
Objectives:
The O.E. consultant identified the four (4) subsystems that need to be addressed for improvement. These are:
1. Strategic System (strategic direction towards a chosen market and leadership processes to steer towards these directions);
2. Administrative System (accounting systems and flow of communication and accountability);
3. Socio-Technical System (package of products and services and the accompanying staff competencies and skills, facilities, and equipment required for delivering the package);
4. Culture System (staff personalities and team-cohesion).
