On January 29, 2024, Mati City, Davao Oriental, CCEF, together with DorSU-RIC XI, took part in a training session conducted by RRREEFS to learn about the reef rehabilitation techniques utilizing 3D printed reef structure. The training showcased a blend of innovative methods and established best practices in coral rehabilitation programs, involving collaboration among various stakeholders, including NGOs and academia. CCEF’s primary responsibility was to establish baseline data on reef biophysics, including the current status of live hard coral cover, the health of fish populations, and the availability of coral recruitment within the designated pilot area.
