March 5-8, 2024, Bohol, Philippines – The CCEF, in collaboration with BFAR, conducted a Municipal Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Councils (MFARMCs) orientation and reorganization in the Municipalities of Bien Unido, Clarin, Buenavista, and Getafe.
The primary objective of this event is to refresh the council members’ knowledge and understanding of their roles and responsibilities in managing fisheries and aquatic resources, as stipulated in the Fisheries Administrative Order (FAO) 196. Through this, council members can effectively contribute to safeguarding the coastal and marine resources of the Danajon Bank Double Barrier Reef.
