The FMA 9 or the Bohol Sea is the Philippine’s largest Fishing ground encompassing 2, 822,800 hectares and covering 5 different regions, Region 7,8,9,10 and 13. Last May 23-25, 2023 CCEF together with the Wildlife Conservation Society, BFAR and other Bay Alliances conducted a Review and Refinement Workshop for the FMA Management Plan in Bohol Sea.
The objective of the workshop is to come up with a science-based, management plan which will become the basis for Local Government Units, Alliances and the FMA 9 Governnance Board to implement policies and management strategies in FMA 9.
