The 2nd MPA Summit was held in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, on September 19 and 20, 2022. The summit was organized by the Provincial Government of Palawan through its Office of Provincial Agriculture. The MPA Summit is also supported by other ongoing United States Agency for International Development (USAID) projects such as URI’s Fish Right Program and RTI’s Philippines Sustainable Interventions for Biodiversity, Oceans, and Landscapes (SIBOL). CCEF’s Executive Director, Auburn Patrick V. Samson attended the summit as part of the beneficiaries of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Gerry Roxas Foundation (GRF) under Inclusive Growth and Regenerative Ecosystems (INSPIRE) Project.
This summit is an important opportunity to share the learnings and interventions in project DEEPER. As well as become acquainted with other USAID project partners and gain from their inputs, accomplishments, and experiences on the sustainable management of their covered MPA’s ecosystem and Fishery resources.
