On May 23, 2025, the Sta. Cruz Daanlungsod Fishermen Association (SADAFA) visited the Bojo River Cruise in Aloguinsan, Cebu, as part of the ProComTour project, supported by the Unico Conservation Foundation. The visit aimed to give SADAFA members practical insights from the successful ecotourism efforts.
The three-year Promoting Community-based Ecotourism in MPA & Mangrove Areas (ProComTour) Project promotes conservation and boosts local income by developing ecotourism in Southeast and Southwest Cebu, especially Badian. It supports coastal management through reef and mangrove restoration and climate resilience, while creating sustainable livelihoods.
