History:
The local government of Boljoon, Cebu in coordination with the Coastal Resource Management Project (CRMP) facilitated the Participatory Coastal Resource Assessment (PCRA) of the municipal coastal waters of Boljoon. PCRA survey results indicated an urgent need for protection and rehabilitation. Thus, they established the Arbor Marine Sanctuary.
