From March 24-26, 2025, the Coastal Conservation and Education Foundation(CCEF), through the Enterprise Development Officer of the ProComTour project, conducted a socioeconomic survey targeting selected people’s organizations (PO) in the municipalities of Argao, Alcoy, and Badian in Cebu. These organizations have been identified as key stakeholders in the development and management of ecotourism sites under the project funded by the Unico Conservation Foundation(UCF).
The socioeconomic survey conducted identifies the local community’s economic, social, and cultural needs, guiding the project to support livelihoods and development. It also promotes stakeholder engagement, informs resource allocation, and helps monitor long-term impacts for both community and environmental benefit.
