Just as the ocean gives abundantly, so must we.
Last July 2, 2022, the Coastal Conservation and Education Foundation (CCEF) staff along with Teamworks of Mercy launched a Feeding Program and IEC Campaign at Mananga Uno and Dos, Talisay City, Cebu, in an effort to provide food support as well as spread the importance of coastal resource management among the youth through educational materials.
By partnering with Teamworks of Mercy, a non-stock, non-profit organization that aims to provide marginalized groups with aid through feeding programs in line with the Christian teachings of the Church, CCEF is carrying out its commitment to letting involved communities in on the conversation of better management and sustainable use of Philippine coastal resources.
Indeed, now, more than ever, we must take the initiative to encourage the practice of engaging in open conversations, most especially when it comes to the state of the environment and the well-being of all individuals.
For this reason, we must embody the ocean’s ability to nourish and sustain the planet, however, we must not only stop at providing food and supplements but also aim to supply relevant information on topics that concern the public, being one of the beneficiaries of a healthy marine ecosystem.
