Abstract | CCEF continues to lead efforts in marine conservation, community engagement, and scientific research to protect coastal ecosystems. This report highlights the impact of our work and how it resonates with broader audiences, promoting a collective movement toward sustainable coastal resource management.
Our commitment to marine conservation is rooted in a vision of thriving marine protected areas and resilient coastal communities. Through our strategic pillars — promoting coastal resource management, building leadership, advancing research and innovation, and spreading information—we drive initiatives that strengthen environmental stewardship. These efforts are reflected in key projects such as the Protect Danajon Project, which safeguards the country’s only double-barrier reef, and the Scaling-up of Education, Information and Engagement for Conservation in Badian and Argao (SEE) Conservation Project, which empowers local communities to take an active role in marine protection. Innovations like rrreefs enhance coral restoration, while the Saving Philippine Reefs Expedition provides critical long-term data on the country’s reef health. The CCEF’s Lend a Blue Hand Fund Raising Campaign further mobilizes and gives avenue to individuals and organizations to take part in marine conservation efforts. |
