On January 13 and 14, 2025, CCEF presented the new projects funded by the Unico Conservation Foundation(UCF) in the municipalities of ๐๐๐ฅ๐ช๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐, ๐๐ฅ๐๐จ๐ฒ, ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฃ๐จ๐จ๐ง, ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐จ๐๐ง, namely; the โ๐๐๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก ๐๐จ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ง๐๐(๐๐๐๐๐๐)โ, ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ โ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ-๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ญ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฌ(๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ)โ.
These three-year projects aimed at fostering collaboration among LGUs in Southeast Cebu and Badian to enhance the management and protection of MPAs and promote sustainable ecotourism in mangrove and MPA areas to empower local communities.
As part of the initial activities for the projects, the CCEF team will request and gather the necessary information and data from the LGUs (ADABOSS). For ProComTour, the next activity will focus on the scoping and identification of two ecotourism sites within ADABOSS. Furthermore, these projects will be presented during the SCCRMC quarterly meeting in February 2025.
