From February 4-6, 2025, the CCEF in partnership with Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. and the City of Talisay, conducted a Mangrove Education and Rehabilitation training for the people’s organization in Dumlog and Biasong, Talisay City, at San Remegio Beach Club in Baybay, Tambongon, San Remegio, Cebu, as part of the Mangrove Education for Natural Development (MEND): A Mananga Riparian Project.
The program aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of mangrove ecology, species selection, and rehabilitation techniques. It featured hands-on field demonstration, community-based management insights, and knowledge-sharing sessions with local practitioners.
