On April 11, 2025, the Bugas Farmers, Fishermen, and Livestock Owners Organization (BUFFALOO) went to Bojo, Aloguinsan, Cebu for a Learning Visit at the Bojo River Cruise. The activity forms part of the project “Promoting Community-based Ecotourism in MPA and Mangrove Areas (ProComTour),” which is supported by the Unico Conservation Foundation (UCF).
The visit aimed to equip BUFFALOO members with practical knowledge and firsthand insights from the successful ecotourism site and the PO of Bojo River Cruise, the Bojo Aloguinsan Ecotourism Association (BAETAS). Through this exposure, the BUFFALOO was able to observe effective strategies and best practices that may be adapted to strengthen and enhance ecotourism initiatives.
