On May 15, 2025, the Coastal Conservation and Education Foundation (CCEF) conducted a Marine Protected Area (MPA) Effectiveness Assessment Tool (MEAT) evaluation for ten (10) MPAs in the Municipality of Argao.
The Assessment was held at the Mayor’s Conference Room and was attended by key stakeholders, including the Municipal Agriculturist, Mr. Wilfredo R. Abear, who welcomed the participants.
The Unico Conservation Foundation (UCF) funded this activity under the “Networking MPAs through Coastal LGU Alliance Project” (NMCLAP).
NMCLAP is a three-year project to strengthen the Southeast Cebu Coastal Resource Management Council in ADABOSS areas. It supports a climate-resilient MPA network with sustainable systems, socio-economic benefits, and adaptive management.
