History:
In 2000, the Community-Based Resource Management Project (CBRMP) funded by the World Bank through the Department of Finance (DOF) conducted meeting with the Local Government Unit (LGU) and proceeded with the public hearing to the community regarding the establishment of the Marine Sanctuary. The People’s organization (PO) started with 18 members, and now growing to a total of 28 members participating with higher awareness about the sanctuary.
