The Protect Danajon Project organized a Communications Workshop for social media influencers in Bohol

November 14, 2023, Tagbilaran City, Bohol – The Protect Danajon Project recently organized a 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 for 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹. The workshop provided a platform for influencers to collaborate on effective strategies and goals aimed at raising awareness about the Danajon Bank Double Barrier Reef. By bringing together individuals with significant social media presence, the project aimed 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 and foster a sense of responsibility among the wider community.

Participants were guided through discussions and interactive sessions, focusing on the unique challenges faced by the Danajon Bank and exploring 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. Workshops also delved into the potential impact of influencer-led initiatives in driving positive change for marine conservation.

The Protect Danajon Project recognized the role of 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 and sought 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 to effectively convey the importance of preserving the Danajon Bank. By fostering a collaborative approach, the workshop aimed to create a network of influencers committed to long-term environmental conservation efforts.

The workshop laid the foundation, empowering influencers to act as champions who 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮, generating awareness and action for the preservation of this unique marine site.
